The warts that appear in the foot are called plantar warts. These warts appear on the soles of the feet. Because of the pressure put into the soles, the warts are pushed deep inside. Warts are usually benign and painless but foot warts can be extremely painful while standing or walking.

Surgical removal usually is not recommended to treat plantar warts because it can cause painful scarring.
